December 2010

Happy December! Here are a bunch of pictures of our December adventures.
At the first of the month we went to Kenny's PA School Christmas party. Kenny thought it would be really funny if we all wore cheesy Christmas sweaters. Every one at the party thought we were serious, so I guess it ended up being pretty funny.(between us)

This is the boys at our Ward Christmas Party sitting on Santa's Lap

We moved into our new apartment on Dec 20th, this is the view from our balcony. It is beautiful. We love our new place, it feels so much bigger.

On Dec 23rd we had the Lanfanchi's and the Perkins over to make Ginger bread houses. The boys watched football, the kids ran around, and the girls had a blast making them.

On Christmas Eve we had a nice party with Sister Covington, the Missionaries, The Perkins, and Uncle Adam's family. We are so blessed to have family and friends to spend the holidays with.
This is a picture from the 21st floor, in it is Adam, Deanna, Sister Covington, and Me.

This is a picture of Elder Beus, Elder Jenson, and all the kids.

Kira gave the boys some Reindeer Chow, The kids put it out on the balcony, to make sure Santa would stop at our house.

This is our tree first thing Christmas morning, Santa sure did come.

The boys were so excited. They both were spoiled, they received every thing they asked for.
Kenyon received a Mp3 player, crossbow, and a remote control Jeep. Beckam received tools, a guitar, and a Dr. set.

Beckam was so tired he fell asleep on his football.

This is Christmas night right before the kids went to sleep, Kenyon is having so much fun having his cousins here. He told me he is having a week long sleep over with them

On the 26th of Dec we woke up to a white blizzard. Virgina has not seen this much snow in over 8 years. Kenyon, Kenny, Abell and Adam went on a short walk. Here they are on the bridge.
Our holiday has been wonderful so far. Hope you all have had a great one too. Miss you all.

Illumination Parade

We decided to kick off the holiday season with the Norfolk illumination parade. This parade was held last Saturday night. We were lucky enough to go with some of our favorite people. The Perkins, Adams and Lanfranchi's.
This is Kenyon with his new light saber. (thanks to his new Grandma Becky)

All the boys

Beckam and his best friend Carlee. Beckam has the biggest crush on Carlee, every morning he asks if she is coming over to play. These two are big trouble.

Here are a few of the floats

Part of our group enjoying the parade. Yes that is Collette and Kaylie. (Kenny could not believe how much they have grown up)

And Santa, our favorite part of the parade.
During the parade I kept on getting flashes of the movie a Christmas story. I kept on hearing Santa say Ho Ho Ho, in his deep voice. It was great.
We had so much fun hanging out with our friends, afterwards we enjoyed a 5 guys burger. It was an amazing night.

Happy Anniversary to us!!!

Wow, Who would have thought that we would make it 7 years. I am so glad I was able to marry my best friend. I love Kenny so much, and am so grateful for the sacrifices he makes for me and the boys. He is a wonderful husband, and I could not have asked for a better person to spend the rest of my life and all of eternity with. I love you tons Kenny!

I wanted to post some picture of our wedding, but then remembered that they are in my parents basement. So here are some recent ones of fun times we have shared.

Busy Month

September has been a busy month so far. Kenyon started 1st grade on the 7th. Look at how much he has grown up. He is so cute.

This is him at his desk, on his first day. His favorite things about school are his friends, lunch, music time and PE.

We went to Utah for Robby's wedding. Here are some of the highlights of the wedding. This was such a beautiful day, and we are so happy for Robby and Autumn.

Here are a few of the cousins, Beck and Kenyon had so much fun with all of them.

Beckam is so funny. He came up to me at the reception and told me he wanted to dance with a girl. He was acting so shy, but finally asked Breeley to dance. It was so cute, they danced together for several songs.

It was also Kenny's 33rd Birthday in Sept. We had a small party with our good friends Paul and Kira. I hope Kenny had a wonderful day!

This past weekend we went to the Eastern shore for our Ward camp out. We had a wonderful time. About 10pm we went to the pier with some others from the ward and fished. We caught a dead blow fish (way cool to see), a needle fish and a sea trout.
Our camp ground was beautiful, filled with pine trees, and we had a short 100 yd walk to the beach and pier. This was one of the best places we have ever camped.

This is Beck getting ready for bed.

This is Kenyon and his friend Gracie, they are always together. I am so glad he has such a great friend out here.

Some of the kids in the ward, having fun on the beach!
Sept is not over yet, but so far it has been an amazing month for us.

Movie night

Earlier today Kenyon started asking question about movies and how they are made. He and Kenny got into a long discussion about them. About an hour later they decided to make a movie. So here it is. Kenyon's first move.

Kenyon wrote, directed, and helped Kenny edit it on the computer. We all had a fun time doing this together.

This week Kenny is out of school. His finals were last week. He is now finished with two semesters and he has two more to go before he starts clinicals. From what previous students have said this semester was the hardest. He did really well and I know he is glad it is over. I am really proud of him.

July!!

July was a busy month for us. On the 1st of July Grandma Kathy and Aunt Sharee came to visit us. They stayed with us until the 16th. We had a wonderful time, we visited all over eastern Virgina. On the 20th of July Mimi, Papa, and Michelle came out to see us. I think this was the hottest week in Virgina history, and everything we did was outside, but we still had a wonderful time showing them our new state. Here are a few pics from there stay.

This is in front of the USS Wisconsin, on the Waterfront in Norfolk.

One day we went to the Botanical Garden, we walked through the Butterfly tent, and Kenyon held one.

On the way to Willamsburg we took the ferry across the James River. They boys loved feeding the birds.

This is Beckam at York Town, trying on the Captains Hat.

Then both the boys got to dress up in colonial clothing.

On Friday we went to Busch Gardens, Saw all the Sesame street characters! (They boys favorite). And rode some fun rides.

We have made some great memories this month. We already miss all of our visitors so much, and we are looking forward to coming in September.

4th of July!!

We had a wonderful 4Th of July weekend. On Saturday night we drove up to Northeast Md. On Sunday morning we went to church with Tag and Theisha. Kenny helped bless their new baby Regan. She is so Beautiful. The boys just loved her.

After the blessing we went to their home for lunch and a few pics, then we were off to DC. We first checked into our hotel then rode the Metro to the National Mall. My cousin Liz saved us a spot to watch the fireworks, we were right in between the Washington monument and the World War II memorial.

It was one of the hottest days on record in D.C. The boys had to keep cool. This is a pic of Beckam running in the water.
This is Kenyon and Aunt Sharee just wasting time.

This is a pic of the boys with my cousins ED and Liz. And Liz's Boyfriend Danny. We were there with all of Liz's friends from her ward. Liz thanks so much for letting us crash your party. We had a great time.

This is Kenny and I right before the fireworks were about to start.

and here are the boys with a few of the fireworks.

The fireworks were amazing and well worth the crazy two hour fight to get back to our hotel. The metro was crazy. I have never seen so many people in such a small place.
On Monday we purchased the double decker bus pass. So we could get on and off at each memorial. This first pic is of the Boys waiting for the Metro. They did not want to get back on, after what we went through the night before. But when they saw that there were hardly any people, they were just fine.

Our first stop was at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. I wish I could blame the cutting off of his head in this pic on the boys. But I know it was me who took this pic.

Then we went to see Lincoln. Kenyon was most excited to see this. He was a little disappointed that Lincoln did not stand up and talk with us. We just watched the Night at the Museum and I think he was expecting us to see everything as it was in the movie.

This pic is out in front of Lincoln, looking over the reflecting pond and towards the Washington monument. Later on Monday night we took the Night around the city tour, and we saw all the monuments lit up. It was absolutely beautiful.

On Tuesday we went over to the Natural History Museum, here are a few pics of the boys and stuff we saw.

We went over to the D.C Temple later that afternoon. Kathy and Sharee did a session while we played with the boys, and when they were finished we switched. This was my favorite part of the whole trip. This was our first trip to the temple since we have been out here. The DC temple is our temple we attend, but it is 3 and a half hrs away so it is hard to get up there.

We had a wonderful 4Th of July. I suggest that everyone at one time in their lives has to see the 4Th of July fireworks in DC. It was amazing. Hope you all had a great 4Th too.
