Fun Run

Kenyon ran in his schools Fun Run on April 16th. He raced against all the other Kindergarten boys. The race was 1/4th mile long.

He ran the whole race, and came in 6th place. I am so proud of him. He worked so hard.

This is a picture of his Kindergarten Class. His Teacher is Mrs Reyes, and she is an amazing teacher. Kenyon is so glad he is in her class.

Spring Break

We had a great Spring Break. Kenyon received a week off of school and the weather was great. On Wed my friend Juliene took the boys and I to James Town.

James town is an Island on the James River. So we rode on a ferry to get there. The boys loved it.

This is Julienes Son Kia.

We fed the birds off the back of the boat.

We found some cherry blossoms!! They are so beautiful.

This is a pic of Beckam checking out one of the Indian homes. This is like the home Pocahontas lived in.

After the indian camp, we went to the first settelment, (where John Smith lived).

The boys loved trying on Aromor, and shooting cannons.

We also saw the Ships they traveled across the ocean on. We played in James town all day. We had a wonderful time.

On Thursday we went to the beach. Oh this was heaven!

It was 90 deg, this day. So warm the cold water was nice. This beach is called Ocean View. It is about 10 min from our home, and it is located on the Potomac River. The waves are not as big, and you can walk out about 30 feet and it is only 1-2 feet deep, perfect for the boys.

This is Juliene and Kia.

Kenyon found a clear jelly fish. (he is holding it, sorry you can't see it very well). We found out that if they are clear they are ok, if they are brown or red you need to run.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter. It started with finding Eggs and Easter Baskets, and Kenyon making funny faces.

The boys receieved kites in their baskets, and they are the best kites ever, we went out yesterday morning to fly them and the boys had a blast.

Each boy received a can from the Easter Bunny, So they had to use the can opener to see what was inside.

Later that morning, we went to Camie and Josh's home for brunch and an Easter egg hunt. We had a wonderful time.

The boys found more than just eggs, A small garden snake, Kenyons was cool with picking it up, Beckam just like to look.

Later that afternoon, We watched confrence and colored Eggs.

We had a wonderful Easter. We missed all of our family and friends from back home. Hope you all had a great Easter also.

Nauticus

Back at the first of March we went to the Nauticus Museum. This museum has all different kinds of cool info about differnt ships that have come to Norfolk. We were also able to tour the Battleship Wisconsin.

These mermaids are all over Norfolk. We are going to try and get a picture with every one!

This is the back end of the battleship showing part of the Elisabeth river.

This is a picture of the opposite end, Showing part of the city. ( We live about 5 blocks north of this ship, We love living downtown.)

Inside the museum they had a shark exibit, Kenyon loved it.
